Microsoft Excel Module 1

Course Location: Sheffield

Module 1 - Introductory Level

Aim:
To introduce delegates to the process of creating a spreadsheet incorporating calculations and being able to present the document professionally.

Duration:
Half a day (9:30 am to 12:30 pm or 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm).

Who Should Attend:
Delegates who need to obtain a sound working knowledge on how to use Excel to create spreadsheets quickly and effectively.
 

Course Content:
● The Excel Screen - An explanation of the Microsoft Excel screen elements and their uses (title bar, toolbars, formula bar, status bar).
 Entering And Editing - Enter text and numbers into a spreadsheet and edit where required.
● Entering Formulae - Enter simple formulas into the spreadsheet and recognise the common functions of AutoSum and AutoFill.
● Formatting - Apply text formats including bold, italic, colour and number formats including currency to your spreadsheet.
● Saving And Retrieving - Principals of saving a file to drives and folders and retrieving it for further use.
● Printing - Examine the print dialog box and send the worksheet to the printer.
